Who?  Toronto Debate Toastmasters (TDT) Club – a non-profit specialty club; guests are required to RSVP before attending, due to limited seating capacity

What? Self-paced, cumulative programme of communication and leadership plus debate

When? 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, year-round — 5:45–8:00 pm, as well as 5th Monday of the month, in any month with a 5th Monday (except December)

Where? U of T’s OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education), at 252 Bloor St., W., between St. George St. and Bedford Rd., steps from the St. George TTC subway station; location/access: http://map.utoronto.ca/utsg/building/123

Why? Become a confident and better communicator, leader and debater

How?  Activities:  debate, debate evaluation; speech, speech and meeting role evaluation; impromptu speech exercises; etc. — at every meeting; activities are serious, as well as fun and light-hearted; some require preparation and some do not, to engage all present; social activities

Self-paced, cumulative programme of communication and leadership plus debate:

  • Access to all Toastmasters downloadable material on helpful topics, as well as free online videos; 3 free mini-manuals full of tips
  • Monthly subscription to Toastmaster magazine, full of helpful hints and advice, from writers around the world (e.g., Microsoft authors, etc.)
  • Access to workshops, special guest speakers, special events, etc.
